In order to officially welcome President Muhammadu Buhari to the state, Yobe State Governor Mai Buni has proclaimed Monday and Tuesday to be public holidays.
The state’s chief of service, Alhaji Garba Bilal, made a declaration to this effect on Sunday in Damaturu.
The state’s Maternal and Child Health Care Complex, Ultra-Modern Market, and Cargo Airport will be among the new construction projects that Buhari will be opening while he is there.
Bilal said, “This is to enable civil servants and the general public to receive the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, who will be in the state on a one-day State Visit to commission projects.”
He, however, said civil servants were to resume work on Wednesday.
