The Independent National Electoral Commission Chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, visited the National Headquarters of the National Youth Service Corps on Friday and declared “we are set” with exactly 49 days till the February 25 presidential election.

News media reports that he was accompanied by senior members of the commission, National Commissioners and Directors.

He contends that without the active involvement of corp members serving as ad hoc personnel, Nigeria cannot successfully hold any election.

Christy Uba, the acting director general of the NYSC, demanded that the organization reassess the allowances of corp members in light of the current economic climate in the nation.
