NO GOING BACK ON NATIONAL STRIKE – NLC

If the Federal Government is unable to end the existing strike action at universities and other higher institutions, the proposed countrywide strike, according to Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President Comrade Ayuba, will go forward.
The national strike action would be preceded by a three-day national demonstration, according to Ayuba, who made this statement while leading union members, students, parents, and other stakeholders on a protest to the National Assembly.
According to Wabba, the elites’ spending of approximately N1.6 trillion to send their children to schools outside of the nation is sufficient to reform education.
According to him, university professors are the poorest group of people in Africa, which has caused a large outflow of the nation’s brightest minds to other nations.

Sunday Asefon, the president of the National Association of Nigerian Students, claimed that despite several commitments to finding a solution, none of them had been fulfilled.
He demanded that colleges open right away.
The National Assembly was given the assurance that the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, who was present through Deputy Majority Leader Senator Robert Borrfice, would make every effort to see that the matter is handled.
Hon. Mohammed Wudil, who was the representative for Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, pledged to make sure that all pertinent parties would meet as soon as feasible to address the issue.
