Subsidy: Reps Give Finance Minister A Week To Honour Invitation

The Minister of Finance has been given a one-week deadline by the House of Representatives’ special committee on the subsidy regime.
After the minister declined to accept its invitation and instead sent a representative, the committee issued the ultimatum.
In addition to other items, the MPs are looking into the total amount taken out of accounts other than the consolidated revenue account for subsidy.
Additionally, the committee is asking for a list of the recipients of the subsidy payments.
Ibrahim Aliyu, the committee chairman, said this.
