Sapele: Man beats pregnant wife to death

In Sapele community, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, a man known as M.O.B. is said to have killed his pregnant wife, Beatrice, by beating her to death.
PUNCH According to information obtained by Metro, the event happened on Friday night close to the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries new-age church on Sapele’s New Road, Awolowo Road Extension.
According to reports, the husband was seen questioning his wife about why she hadn’t prepared his dinner or completed the essential housework before leaving for church.
Witnesses claimed the angry man smacked the heavily pregnant woman without waiting for her to explain before striking her repeatedly, causing her to pass out on the spot.
As a result, witnesses claim that churchgoers and bystanders flocked to the scene to save the woman.
The woman was reportedly taken to Obule Hospital nearby, where she was declared dead when she arrived, according to sources.
The police were unaware of the occurrence as of the time this story was filed, according to DSP Bright Edafe, the police public relations officer for Delta State Command.
