When alleged assailants opened fire on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s convoy on Sunday at Enugwu-Ukwu community in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, an undetermined number of police officers were reportedly killed.
For security reasons, sources in the community who do not want their names published claim that when the gunmen opened fire on the convoy, police operatives responded by firing back, and some of the policemen were killed in the ensuing shootout.
A source said, “Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was attacked today by some hoodlums in Enugwu-Ukwu. It was a calculated attempt. It wasn’t an impromptu action.
