Owo Church massacre: Two more ISWAP terrorists arrested, identities revealed

Following the attack on St Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State, months ago, two more terrorists suspected to be members of the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) have been arrested.
Following the assault on the St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State many months ago, two more terrorists who are thought to be ISWAP members have been apprehended.
Remember that the governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, announced on Tuesday that five or so terrorists connected to the attack had been detained in the State.
Just two days after the report, the Military High Command said on Thursday that two more terrorists responsible for the June 5 massacre of nearly 40 worshipers in the church had been apprehended.

Major General Jimmy Akpor, the director of defense information, revealed the information in a statement.

Al-Qasim Idris and Abdulhaleem Idris, according to Gen. Akpor, who revealed more information on the accused.
According to him, the military and the Department of State Services, DSS, collaborated to apprehend the alleged terrorists on Tuesday at Omialafara (Omulafa), Ose Local Government Area, Ondo State.
A portion of the statement states, “Only a few hours after the CDS announced the arrest of 4 Owo Catholic Church assailants, 2 additional ISWAP terrorists who were also involved in the attack on the church were caught at Omialafara (Omulafa), Ose LGA, Ondo State yesterday, 9 August 2022.
“The arrests were made through the collaborative effort by military and DSS personnel. The suspects are Al-Qasim Idris and Abdulhaleem Idris.
“It is instructive to note that Abdulhaleem, alongside other high profile ISWAP Commanders, had also previously coordinated attacks on military targets in Okene, Okene LGA, Kogi State resulting in casualties”.
