Rarely seven weeks have passed since terrorists attacked worshippers in the old town of Owo in Ondo state.
According to reports, a large number of individuals were hurt during the attack on Wednesday night at Folahami Junction, which was home to the Craneburg Construction Company.
According to eyewitness accounts, the shooters set people at the scene on fire.
Another individual who was interviewed claimed that the attack also involved the use of some explosives.
Although the number of fatalities had not yet been confirmed, several people were said to have been hurt in the incident.
When contacted, Funmi Odunlami, the state police image maker, verified the occurrence but stated that three people were hurt during a shootout in the town. Odunlami added that she was unable to determine whether the attackers were terrorists or merely bandits.
She said “Tonight, there was a shooting incident at Craneburg Construction Company Owo, Policemen are currently at the arena, victims have been taken to Hospital and they are in stable condition.
” We can not establish the casualty figure now and we also cannot say it was a terrorists’ attack with the use of explosives devices but tomorrow (Thursday) morning, the EOD men of the command would go to the scene.”
Additionally, Odunlami urged the populace not to panic because everything was in order.
