Kazeem Alli, a leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in Osun State’s Isokan Local Government Area, was shot by unidentified gunmen.
Alli was reportedly shot and carried away by the assailants in Oke Alfa Area, Apomu on Saturday night. Alli was also reportedly a leader of the All Progressives Congress in his local government.
Alli was reportedly being followed by the suspects as he drove to the Oka Alfa neighborhood, where he was shot.
According to Yemisi Opalola, the state police command’s spokesperson, eight people have been detained in connection with the event.
