Obasanjo meets El-Rufai, Soludo, praises  Buhari

At the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, former president Olusegun Obasanjo met with Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State.

The two connected at the DRC-Nigeria Business Council’s inaugural stakeholder gathering, which took place over the weekend at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja.

At the meeting, Obasanjo, who is the Council Patron, “commended the President Muhammadu Buhari for his foresight in creating the DR Congo–Nigeria Business Council.”

The Special Assistant on Media to Obasanjo, Kehinde Akinyemi, stated that the meeting was held at the Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja.

El-Rufai, the Deputy President of the Council, is rumored to have revealed the information while reporting on a recent meeting he had with the President in Abuja.

El-Rufai claimed that the President was enthusiastic about the Council and that Buhari had stated that with such a Council in Africa, the future will be better to cooperate.

The governor added, “Mr. President urged the former President to use his energy and network to extend similar formations in countries like Egypt, Ethiopia and South Africa.”

Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, Dr. Nteranya Sanginga, the president of the Council and the former director general of the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture, among others, were present at the meeting.
