Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), who is running for president, has given his approval for Abdulmumin Jibrin and Ladipo Johnson to serve as his campaign spokespersons.
Ibrahim Adamu, Kwankwaso’s special assistant, said in a statement made available to THISDAY in Kano yesterday that the two were selected due to their depth of knowledge in strategic communication and dedication to the NNPP.
According to him, “They were appointed because of their extensive network and reach as well as their belief in our shared conviction that a new and better Nigeria is possible if we work together with sincerity, tolerance, competence, and faith.”
Kwankwaso congratulated the new spokespersons and thanked them for agreeing to continue serving the movement and the nation in their new capacities. He also urged them to spread the RMK2023 campaign’s message that the NNPP will lead a new Nigerian government that will guarantee justice, equity, fairness, unity, security, and development throughout the entire nation.
Jibrin is a former representative who has a wealth of expertise in public relations and campaign management.
Jibrin is a skilled politician and excellent organizer who holds a BSc, MSc, and doctorate in Politics, Diplomacy, and International Affairs from the Universities of Abuja and Ahmadu Bello in Zaria.
He graduated from Harvard, London, and SBS Zurich with a PLD, SEP, and MBA, respectively. He also completed courses from Harvard and the European Institute of Business Administration, INSEAD France, on marketing, strategy, decision-making, and negotiation.
A lawyer, managing partner at Agbese and Johnson (Legal Consultants), and head of the African Institute of Enterprise Development and Management, Ladipo Johnson is in the meantime. He was a past candidate for governor of Lagos State and the House of Representatives. He is a well-known public affairs expert.
Johnson is the founder of the Johnson Initiative for Positive Impact and a graduate of Lagos State University.
In response to his selection, Abdulmumin said: “It is an honour to serve as official spokesperson of the Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso Presidential Campaign Council.”
According to a statement in his verified Facebook page, he said: “I will put in my best in discharging this responsibility as with every assignment I have handled. A new Nigeria beacons. #RMKForPresident #NNPP.”
