Protests are held by the union in P’Harcourt, Warri, Kaduna, and Abuja
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, which was protesting, warned on Thursday to halt oil production in Nigeria for 30 days if the federal government didn’t do something to stop the ongoing enormous oil theft in the Niger Delta.
Members of the union organized demonstrations in a number of cities across Nigeria, including Abuja, Kaduna, and Port Harcourt in Rivers State as well as Warri in Delta State.
According to research by our correspondent, if the employees carry out their threat, Nigeria might lose nearly N1.37 trillion due to the non-production and sale of crude oil, a significant source of foreign cash.
