Muslim cleric in Yobe killed by gunmen as Borno loses its LG Chairman

Shiekh Goni Aisami, an Islamic cleric, was brutally murdered, according to Yobe state governor Mai Mala Buni, who made the confirmation on Sunday.

On his journey from Kano state, Aisami, a resident of Gashua, Bade Local Government Area in Yobe State, was shot and killed last Saturday in Karasuwa Local Government Area by Unknown Gunmen.

Hon. Umar Gujja Tom, the executive chairman of Borno state’s Jere Local Government Area (LGA), passed away at the same time as this.

After a protracted illness, Tom passed away in the early hours of Sunday at an Abuja hospital.

Shiek Goni Aisami, an Islamic cleric, passed away. Buni has expressed condolences to his family, the residents of the Bade local government region, and the entire state.
