After being suspended for eight months, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria Catholic Chaplaincy, has returned from the monastery.
The Catholic Diocese of Enugu prohibited Mbaka from commenting on political topics on June 3, 2022 after activities in the ministry were ceased, according to news reports. The Church had been shut down earlier in the year.
When the ministry was reopened, the Church converted it into a chaplaincy to keep an eye on its excesses.
Mbaka was moved from chaplaincy to the monastery by the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga, in October 2022.
As a result, Rev. Fr. Anthony Amadi was chosen to take over as the new chaplain of the Adoration Ministry Chaplaincy in place of Mbaka.
