Just in: G5 govs arrive Oyo for Makinde’s campaign

The G5—the five aggrieved governors of the People’s Democratic Party—have converged at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, to launch Seyi Makinde’s reelection campaign.

Other members of the G5 led by Nyesom Wike of Rivers State are Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu; Benue State, Samuel Ortom and Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

The G5 arrived at the venue of the campaign flag-off at exactly 1 pm.

The 33 Local Government Areas that make up the state’s key routes leading to Mapo Hall are now congested with party supporters, and security personnel are working hard to keep the mob under control.
