Insecurity: Kingpin terrorist, 18 others killed in airstrikes over Kaduna

According to Air Marshal Oladaya Amao, the Chief of Air Staff, airstrikes have killed Alhaji Shanono, one of the insurgents’ top leaders.
This was said in a statement released on Thursday by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the Nigerian Air Force’s director of public relations and information.
He assured them that they would not stop working until all of the bandits terrorizing innocent citizens of the nation had been vanquished.
The Aviation Chief gave the directive to increase air operations throughout all military theaters of operations.
He said that the recent airstrikes by NAF aircraft in the North-West revealed the death of several terrorists and the destruction of their hideouts.
Alhaji Shanono, a terrorist leader operating out of Kaduna, along with 18 other terrorists, he claimed, were killed during the airstrikes, and more than 30 firearms and 20 motorcycles were also destroyed.
In a same vein, he claimed that on Saturday, air interdiction sorties against terrorist targets were carried out in Gazuwa, Borno State, with the cooperation of Operation Hadin Kai’s air component.
The Chief of Air Staff issued a warning to all commanders, urging them to not give up on the work at hand since the Air Force cannot afford to let its guard down.
