In Borno and Kaduna, airstrikes kill 63 terrorists

Between August 30 and August 31, 2022, the Air Component of Operation Whirl Punch and the Air Task Force of Operation Hadin Kai conducted separate operations that resulted in the deaths of no less than 63 terrorists through air interdictions.

The operations were conducted in Kaduna’s Kuduru and Udawa, as well as in Borno State’s Bama Local Government Area and Gargash, Minna, and Gazuwa, where terrorists’ hideouts were also demolished.

According to a military source, 49 terrorists were killed during the interdiction in Borno State while over 14 were slain during the attack on their Kaduna sanctuaries.

According to the source, on August 30, 2022, the Air Component of Operation Whirl Punch carried out air interdiction sorties against known terrorist hideouts at Alhaji Isiaka and Kuduru in Kaduna State’s Igabi Local Government Area. 

The attacks were successful because 14 terrorists were killed and a number of others were hurt.

Similar attacks were also carried out in Kaduna State’s Udawa along the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road after getting information of terrorists’ livestock rustling activities there.
