Imo takes action to improve security and implements steps

The Imo State administration yesterday reassured people of its determination to secure life and property in the 27 Local Councils and advised them not to panic about the insecurity being experienced in some areas of the state.

Dr. Ugorji Okechukwu Ugorji, commissioner for homeland security and vigilante affairs, provided the guarantee in a statement yesterday.

Regarding the state government’s attempts to protect people’ lives and property, Ugorji pointed out that everyone had a duty to ensure security. 

The governor’s objective is for shared prosperity in a safe and secure homeland, the man stated.

“With regard for the lives and well-being of all residents and tourists, as well as with respect for human rights and civil liberties.
