FG requests NNPC’s assistance in establishing a national shipping line.

The development of a robust and long-lasting national fleet would be guaranteed in two months, according to Mu’azu Sambo, Minister of Transportation, with the full backing of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC).

The Minister made this statement yesterday in Abuja after receiving an initial report from the Nigerian Fleet Implementation Committee (NFIC) on the necessity of creating a robust and long-lasting national fleet.

According to Sambo, if Nigeria, a maritime nation, could get its act together, it wouldn’t require the assistance to live.
