Numerous commuters were killed when a 40-foot container slammed into cars traveling by the Cele bus stop along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway in Lagos State.

News media reported that a driver of one of the popular yellow commercial buses was immediately confirmed dead while the other two managed to escape.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority while confirming the incident on Thursday afternoon said the accident happened at the main carriageway of PM gas station inward Cele express.

“It involved an upturned 40ft container on a commercial bus.

“Police officers from Ilasa division are on the ground doing the needful and also effort is on for recovery,” the agency wrote on its official Facebook page.
