Breaking: INEC declares Sule winner in Nasarawa guber race

The Nasarawa state governor Abdullahi Sule has been proclaimed the victor of the gubernatorial election held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 by the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC.

Sule has been proclaimed the winner of the election in Nasarawa State, according to Professor Tanko Ishaya, the state returning officer, who made the announcement of the results this morning in Lafia.

Recall that Governor Sule got 347,209 votes to defeat his closest rival, Dr David Emmanuel Ombugadu of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, who scored 283,016 votes.
