All Gaming Facilities in Anambra state Shut Down by the Government, with Worthwhile Cause

Following the governor’s order, all casinos and gambling establishments in the state of Anambra have ceased operations. The Anambra State Government declared to have learned of “worrisome” reports of fraud and other illegal activity occurring in connection with the payment of awards.

Donatus Onyenji, the commissioner for culture, entertainment, and tourism, as well as Richard Madiebo, the chairman of the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service, and Chikodi Angra, the commissioner for homeland security, all corroborated this occurrence in the meantime.

They asserted that a concerning number of petitions regarding the manipulation of gambling machines and non-transparency in winnings payments were submitted to the government. The claims, according to the statement, amounted to major violations of industry best practices that the government, overseen by Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, would not tolerate. It stated that under the supervision of the current administration, the dishonest actions of the gaming centers would no longer be tolerated.
