On Wednesday, over a thousand new lawyers were admitted to the bar during the 2022 Call to Bar ceremony.
At the ceremony held by the Body of Benchers, 1,507 graduates of the Nigerian Law School donned the wig and robe to become new attorneys.
The remaining six lawyers are from the previous call, while 1,501 of them are recent grads.
Following the Bar final exams in May, they graduated.
The Nigerian Law School in Bwari, Abuja, is hosting the event, which is now taking place there. Several members of the judiciary profession are in attendance.
They include Professor Isa Chiroma, Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, and former Justice of the Supreme Court Mary Odili, as well as Chairman of the Body of Benchers (BOB), Wole Olanipekun.
